(See a sign from my very own Georgia JoAnns for Patty's fabrics! Squeeeee!)
Of course I loved the fabric line and declared a Modkid outfit out of Modkid fabric would be heading out the door to school! Have you seen the Modkid patterns - they are so freaking cute. You can see them here https://www.etsy.com/shop/modkid?ref=l2-shop-info-name and you can see Patty's blog for more pictures and inspirations here http://modkidboutique.blogspot.com/.
I took a gamble on a pattern that really inspired me with the fabric I bought.
Why was this a gamble? Check out the size above - size 10. We are REEEEAAALLLY a 12 but this was a looser fit, so I said let's give it a shot because if I don't she wasn't getting any smaller, right? Fortunately, for me and my beautiful new fabric we had ourselves a winner. Here she is in her Josie
Patty mentioned on her blog that she noticed that a lot of people really loved her Vintage Poppy Teal fabric (Buy it here http://www.joann.com/patty-young-premium-quilt-fabric-vintage-poppies-teal/zprd_12806568a/?green=8A03D35C-791B-5461-0161-882118FD5623) and the answer is - why yes we do!
For school, of course, we had to wear leggings today, but I think we sqeuaked in and got to wear our Josie just in time. And we loved it! It has such classic lines but can be all over the place in style based on what fabrics you use. ANNND - Even though this may be the only time we get to use THIS pattern, look at some of these other fun Modkid patterns that go up to the bigger girl tween sizes.
Well, time is getting by me tonight and I have to get the folks to bed!! Make sure you check out yesterday's post to enter to win Lindsay Wilkes's upcoming book!
Till next time!
Christie
