Well, the late night I predicted last night came true. I stumbled to bed around 1am. Fortunately, I was able to get a little more sleep once the kiddos headed off to school. I was slap dandy exhausted. All in all, though, I am happy with how everything turned out. And, this is one of those patterns that if you need something in a jiffy, it turns out beautifully. She got complimented in several places this afternoon. Of course, today was report card day, so we had to go to Krispy Kreme for our free donuts and then since they both made good grades (she made a/b honor roll and he made principal's list), I let them pick out a reward. They both have gotten very into Dr. Who, so we went to Barnes and Noble and she got this
Yeah, I really don't get it either. He wanted a Dr. Who screwdriver but they didn't have the one he wanted in the store (there are a ton of different types of screwdrivers. Who knew?). So, we came home and ordered his.
So, today's outfit comes from the Easy Files. We are heading back to Whimsy Couture and are visiting their Long Sleeved Peasant Dress (although, we actually made it 3/4 sleeve). https://www.etsy.com/listing/178297727/whimsy-couture-sewing-pattern-tutorial?ref=shop_home_active_7&ga_search_query=peasant
I added lace to the arms and the hem. I didn't do any shirring on the sleeve, I just left it loose. It was 1am and it was done ;)
So, here we have our Whimsy Couture Long Sleeved (3/4 sleeve) peasant.
So, there you have it. My bleary eyed, sleep deprived pretty little peasant. :)
And because the hubs got such a good picture, here is my spunky, full of energy orange ball of Go - Tommy
We have a super busy weekend coming up (like always, right?). Both kids and I are running the Color Me Rad 5k Saturday morning and then the boy and I are running a St Paddys Day run Saturday evening. Sunday afternoon, she and I are going to the Broadway touring presentation of Beauty and the Beast (the costuming looks AMAZING). I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and come back Monday to see what ends up being our ONE HUNDREDTH OUTFIT!!! and find out about our giveaway. It's going to be a lot of fun! See you next week!
