The clock is ticking....I checked our cruise check in and there are only 13 days until our transatlantic and only a week and a half until we leave to go to Disney for a few days prior to the cruise. We are excited and nervous. One thing I have always loved about Disney Cruise Lines cruises is the horn. Most cruise ships just blow their horns when they leave port, Disney Cruises leave with Magic.
One of the songs they play is "When You Wish Upon a Star." Everytime I hear it, it just makes me realize how blessed I am. I am blessed with my family, I am blessed to be able to travel, so many blessings. I know this time of year is so hectic and crazy, but if you slow down and just look at the blessings - it might help you breathe a little easier as you are baking your teacher appreciation cupcakes, washing those muddy clay white baseball pants and helping kiddos study for finals.
Today's dress captures a little of the Disney Cruise Line magic. When I saw this knit fabric show up on Purpleseamstress Fabric on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/135198749843668/photos/pb.135198749843668.-2207520000.1399425830./818041444892725/?type=3&theater
I knew I had to order it to make something for this trip. So, when it got in my grubby little hands, I knew it needed to be a maxi dress. And so, we made it into a Everything Your Mama Made and More California Dress http://www.eymm.com/product/girls-california/
I decided to try the shirring option to gather in the waist. I think if when I make this again, if I shirr I would probably go down a size. But, I still loved it and she got tons of compliments. I think she will look cute as a button when she boards that ship!
Thank you for stopping by and we hope to see you tomorrow!
